Prayer Commitment Passage: Day 5

EPHESIANS 1:17-23; 3:14-21

These words of Paul, in his letter to the believers in Ephesus, are so eloquently written - so filled with hope and love for the church to receive ALL that God truly IS, in Christ Jesus, through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Personalize these verses, between you and the Lord.

Speak them from your heart, asking for all that the Word promises us is rightfully ours. Here is a sample of how these verses can be turned into an intimate prayer:

"Lord Jesus Christ, I pray to you, the Father of glory, that you may grant me a spirit of wisdom and revelation in a deep and intimate knowledge of you, that the eyes of my heart be enlightened, so that I can know and understand the hope to which you have called me, and the richness of your glorious inheritance in the saints…so that I can know and understand what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of your power in and for me as I believe, as is demonstrated in the working of your mighty strength, which you exercised in Christ when you raised Him from the dead and seated Him in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age which is to come.
Lord, you have placed all things under your feet and have appointed, your Son, Christ Jesus, to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
For this reason, I bow my knees before you, Heavenly Father my Lord Jesus Christ, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that you grant me, according to the your riches in glory, to be strengthened with mighty power through the Holy Spirit in the inner man, that Christ dwells in my heart through faith, that I - being rooted and grounded in your love - may be able to comprehend, with all my brothers and sisters in Christ, what is the breadth and length and height and depth of the love of Christ, and to be filled into your fullness.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that I ask or think, according to the power that works within me; to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever AMEN."
