Dear Father, if not for Your Word I would be lost. Your Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth gives us everything we need to live the life You created us for. I am forever grateful. - Cheri
How easily do you get distracted? Well, I can walk from point A with the hope of arriving at point B and along the way points C, D, E and F pop-up and I end up forgetting my original purpose of getting to point B. I can also start each day with the purpose of "This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine" with drawing others closer to the Lord. My morning devotion gets me started each day. Does that morning devotion always happen? Nope! That takes me off the path that I want. Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." He also says, "I am the vine and you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit, apart from me you can do nothing." When I stray from God's Word I get on my own or someone else's path and that many times leads me in a direction I wish I hadn't taken. I can think of countless times that has happened to me. Does it happen to you? I need to stay in God's Word and that is my prayer for me and that is my prayer for you. We all want to hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant!" Amen. - Dale

I thank You for Your Word, the light for my feet, corrector of my heart, and life for my soul. Without it where would we be? We would wander blindly in the darkness, searching for the light that it reveals. We would be blind leading the blind! I thank you for preserving in Your Word the revelation of Your Son, the Word, the true Light that shines in the world to show us the way. I ask that Your Word would be heard, seen, and known far and wide: that every nation would hear it proclaimed in their own language; that every soul would hear of Your great Name, responding in faith to the proclamation of Your Word; and that the Church everywhere would recover the joy of abiding in Your Word and following its commands. Dear Heavenly Father,
How I long for your instruction. Teach me your commands so that I may live a life that brings You glory. As I look around, I see those who claim to be your people and have no desire to repent. They live lives filled with utter destruction because they have turned their ears from You and Your righteous rules. My Prayer O’ God, is that You would teach me, guide my by the ways of You, Jesus. Holy Spirit, I ask that you teach them and Father, have mercy on them. Thay Your righteous instruction become a desire of theirs to follow. So that Your Name will be glorified among ALL the nations. That Your Kingdom will advance in the darkest places, Your light shine in the darkest places, so Your Name will be glorified in the darkest places. Let Your kingdom come oh Lord. For You are the Alpha and Omega. King over every other. Hear my plea Lord, teach us Your righteous rules. In Jesus Name, Amen. - David

I’m so grateful for God’s love, for His mercy and grace. I’m thankful for His faithfulness, for His gifts and promises. He has always kept me even through my mess. Where do I go Lord? My journey is so long thus far and you’ve yet to stray from me. Your presence I long for Lord, to be close to you! Thank you for your love and mercy. Thank you that you want us to be close to you. Each day we have the opportunity to draw near. Of having You to guide us as we go throughout our day. Your word shows us how to do that. It teaches us how to have a strong relationship with You.
Give our hearts the longing and desire to seek You and hear You when we read it. May we choose to know and come to understand who you want us to be as well as what is ahead.
May we do our best to follow You, though we so often fail. Forgive us when we do. May we open up opportunities when we follow the commands You have given to us. Help us to allow You to work through us, so that You receive the glory.
May we allow the word to be a lamp bringing light that brings us to You. Strengthening our relationship, so that You may be seen by the people around us. May others come to know You, or grow if they do know you, because we have taken the time to seek You through Your word, and allowed it to light our way to You!

We are grateful for the promises you made in your word, Psalm 22 and 23, that you will be our source, healer, and comforter. You, Oh God, provide us with guidance and purpose. You offer protection and instill confidence in our times of trial. You, theAlmighty God, are always faithful, loving us while disciplining and guiding us. Our hope rests solely in you. Thank you, God, for anointing us with love, mercy, and grace, enabling us to walk in blessings and security. Ultimately, you will take us home to heaven, where we will dwell with you for eternity.
